Sometimes the word pedestrian means ordinary. Not in Carson Valley, where a network of hiking trails waits to take you to unspoiled spots and spectacular vistas. For the walker, the Valley affords opportunities to stroll through historic downtowns or power walk along country roads where ranchland surrounds you.

The equestrian world is all around you in Carson Valley. Ranches and horse properties abound and locals are just as likely to feed horses at night as dogs or cats.
