Summer Isn’t Over…Neither Is the Live Music
Have you been enjoying the summer concerts in the Valley? Don’t worry, if you haven’t made one yet there are still plenty of music happenings left! Get your dancin’ shoes ready and get in on the fun because before you know it, we’ll all be playing in the snow again!
TJ’s Corral has been rocking all summer, and still has some dust to kick up! Lee Brice is set to send off July in style with his concert on the 31st.
August is jam packed with live music starting with the Family Summer Concert Series featuring Todd Morgan & The Emblems on August 6th, from 6-8 pm at Heritage park in Minden. All of the concerts in this series are free of charge and perfect for all ages.
The very next night, August 7th, TJ’s Corral will feature Cole Swindell from 8-11 pm. You know Cole, right? Lighting up country radio, he sings tunes like “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey” and “You Should Be Here” and we agree, you really should.
Next up, is Genoa’s Concert on the Green in the town park August 8th from 5-7 pm, bring a picnic and a blanket and they promise to mow the grass for you (now that’s hospitality)!
The 2021 Summer Festival is still going strong over at Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park with family-friendly performances, events and concerts. They will host Monique & the Motley Blues, a high energy blues and funk band, on August 12th.
Back to TJ’s for the one and only Clay Walker on August 15th, 8-11 pm. If you are as big of a fan of the 90’s country scene as we are, that is definitely the concert for you! August concerts give one last hoorah with another Family Summer Concert Series featuring Mumbo Gumbo, August 27th, 6-8 pm. What a way to end the month with a bang!
Yes, we consider September summer – at least 22 days of it, that is! Just because the nights start cooling off doesn’t mean the party ends. TJ’s Corral isn’t finished yet, with two more concerts: Granger Smith (YeeYee!) September 2nd, and Mitchel Tenpenny September 9th. Both shows run from 8-11 pm and promise a good time.
Genoa wraps up their Concert on the Green and this list of summer concerts with one more event on September 12th at 5 pm.
If you aren’t able to make any of these (and we can’t fathom why, there are so many options!), many of our local bars (Genoa Bar, Carson Valley Inn’s Cabaret Lounge) have live music too. Check their sites for the most up-to-date schedules. To find out about all the events happening this summer check out our events page.
