The store is named for Shelby, our first bookstore dog.  She died two years ago and Ellie has come to take over her job.  Both dogs have had many fans who just drop by to visit. Forget about the books and bring on the dog!
 
We are open 5 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
 
We have a book exchange program. We sell used paperbacks and we exchange paperbacks. The prices are usually half the original retail price. Get more details.  We pride ourselves on the quality of the books.  We have a large supply of science fiction, young adult, mysteries, westerns, general fiction and romance books.
 
Off and on we have special events.  Sometimes we do lecture series, special featured speakers and book signings. Our website features event details.
