After seven years serving Lake Tahoe some of the best BBQ around, Sonney's BBQ Shack has now expanded to Carson Valley!

All meats at Sonney's are cooked low-n-slow with oak, apple, and other hardwoods for the best smoked flavor around: the brisket and butts are smoked for 12-14 hours and ribs are smoked for 3 hours. Sonney's Smoke Masters and Prep Chefs arrive early in the morning to prepare everything from scratch and they slice, pull and chop everything fresh to your plate! Their famous pig wings, chicken wings, onion rings, poppers, collard greens, corn bread and salad dressings are all their original recipes.

History

Sonney started making BBQ sauce 27 years ago during a sauce making contest against his big brother Harold “T” on their house boats on Lake Oroville every summer. After years of trials and few errors... Sonney has come up with what many call some of the “best dang BBQ sauce” they’ve ever had.  Harold “T”, of course, is still undecided on who won.
