Annual Freedom 5K Run for the Wreath 2026: Fun Run & Walk

Join Main Street Gardnerville for the second run of the 2026 “We Run This Town” series on July 4, the Annual Freedom 5k Run for the Wreath at Heritage Park. There will be prizes for the best patriotic costumes. Make it a day and stay for the annual Carson Valley Pops in the Park Patriotic concert presented by the Town of Gardnerville at 11:00am.

Register and complete all three runs in the series and your will receive a commemorative “I Run This Town” Tee shirt!
Bring out the whole family and don’t forget to tell all your friends!

Pre-Registration Fees:
Runners: 10 & Under FREE
Runners: 11 & Up: $25.00
Runners: Military / Veterans: $20.00
Day of Event: $35.00 per runner // $30 for Veterans

Day-of Registration begins at 7:00am.

Main Street Gardnerville has partnered with Wreath’s Across America to honor all 225 Military Veterans laid to rest at Garden Cemetery. This year, $5.00 from every registration will go towards purchasing a wreath for these Veterans.

The run will start and finish at Heritage Park in Gardnerville on the Ezell Street side of the park. The race will begin at 8:00am, rain or shine!
