Fall Leaves Watercolor Workshop at River Fork Ranch

Join this Fun & Easy Fall Leaves Watercolor Workshop, for people with zero watercolor experience to intermediate level. Ages 11 to 100. Paint, brushes, paper are provided. Please bring a pencil & eraser (kneaded eraser is best but optional).

You’ll learn about deciduous trees in the Carson Valley area and how to do loose watercolor techniques for a background on watercolor paper (8″x10″). You’ll get to experiment with dry brush & wet-on wet techniques, salt effects, splattering, and scraping. You’ll produce at least 2 works of art (3 if time allows).

Leaves will be already drawn for you, so no drawing experience necessary. If there is time, you can trace around leaves and do your own leaves, but the focus of the workshop is on painting them and the backgrounds.

Bring a snack and drink if you’d like.

This class will take place on Saturday, October 18 from 9:00am to noon and will be instructed by Connie Peters.  A donation of $20 per participant is suggested.
