Historical Re-enactment: Tales Along El Camino Sierra

Local authors and historians David & Gayle Woodruff recount the impressive and fascinating efforts by boosters in Eastern California and Western Nevada, to promote the construction of a modern roadway (Highway 395) in their region. From record setting airplane flights over Mt. Whitney to partnering with two World Fairs, the ballyhoo created by the Inyo Good Road Club and Nevada boosters was amusing, improbable and effective. The 55-minute slide show features many rare historic images and video of this celebrated bit of local history.

Great for all guests who love Nevada, history and have high spirits! All guests will receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine (Must be 21+).

This event will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 1:00pm-2:15pm at Minden Mill Distilling. It’s free to attend, provided you have reserved a ticket.
