You’re invited to attend free educational talks taking place throughout Dangberg’s 2025 Summer Festival as part of a series exploring a wide variety of local historical topics. You can view the schedule of planned morning performances below:
Mornings, 10:00am-11:00am
June 7: Historian Pat Hickey will speak on his book, Here and Hereafter.
June 21: Mark McLaughlin, historian and author, presents “True Tales From Tahoe” introducing his latest compendium of Tales from the Tahoe Sierra.
June 28: Historians David and Gayle Woodruff will speak on “Memories of Bonanza.”
July 12: Gregory Crouch, historian and author, will speak on “William Sharon: Comstock Millionaire.”
July 19: Historian Larry Schmidt will speak on “Mark Twain at Lake Tahoe.”
August 2: Glen Whorton, of the Nevada State Historic Prison Preservation Society, will speak on “Executions.”
August 9: Susan Clemons of the Glenbrook Historical Society will speak on “Glenbrook: Timber to Tourism.”
August 16: Historian Michael Fischer will speak on Nevada’s notorious mobsters.
September 6: Tami Force will speak on her book, In the Shadow of the Sierra.
September 13: Donna Inversin returns to speak on the ongoing restoration of the “Historic V&T Trail.”
Please keep in mind that space in the performance tent is limited. It’s recommended to bring your own seating. No pets allowed at events—certified service animals only.
