Hope Valley Outdoors is located at Pickett’s Junction, at the intersection of State Route 88 and Highway 89 in Hope Valley. Our Yurt is on the south side of State Route 88.

If you’re looking for cross-country skiing, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, rentals, lessons, and even guided tours, Hope Valley Outdoors can provide experienced instruction and information for all your outdoor needs.
Our focus is on true backcountry cross country, traditional kick and glide skiing. We will help you improve your skills and make it possible for you to make your own tracks through the snow in gorgeous Hope Valley.
We maintain a limited amount of trails around our Yurt. Trails are skier packed and easily accessed, along with limited grooming for kick and glide xc skiing.
We maintain a port-a-john for your convenience. Your donations help us to continue to offer this service. Most donations are $10, but we gladly accept anything you are able to offer.
Please note that our grooming equipment accommodates only traditional/classic cross country style skiing (kick and glide).
If you prefer trails that are groomed daily for cross country skate style, the closest resort for this type of xc skiing is at Kirkwood Cross Country Snowshoe Center.
