Favorite Chautauquans will appear throughout Dangberg’s 2024 Summer Festival performing a series of intriguing historical figures.
Tickets for the evening Chautauqua performances are $15 for ages 17 and older, and free for ages 16 and younger. Both member and general public tickets will be available at each ticketed event. Advanced ticket purchase is not available to the general public, but members of the non-profit Friends of Dangberg Home Ranch can contact the park for more information. Evening Events, 6:30-7:30 pm
July 10: Kim Harris portrays Violet Jessop — Survivor of the sinkings of both the Titanic and Britannic ocean liners.
July 24: Leslie Goddard portrays Amelia Earhart — First female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
August 7: Steve Hale portrays Major General John C. Frémont — Pathfinder and discoverer of Lake Tahoe.
August 14: Dorothea Phelan portrays Mary-Louise Mackay — Wife of American industrialist and Comstock Bonanza Lode discoverer John Mackay, and wealthiest woman in Paris society.
August 21: Doug Mishler portrays Sir Ernest Shackleton — Legendary explorer who led a daring expedition to the Antarctic continent in 1914.
