History Presentation - Fountains of Life

The idea of National Parks is about as uniquely American as the Constitution—only with better scenery and fewer heated debates—and as this grand experiment in preserving our iconic landscapes evolved, so did the creative ways we tried to manage them. From stretches of martial law that made some parks feel like scenic boot camps to jet‑age designs that looked ready for takeoff, the policies and experiments rolled out across these magnificent cathedrals of Mother Nature have been every bit as quirky and memorable as the purlieu itself. Join David & Gayle for a lively 55‑minute slide show as they recount some of the most curious, head‑scratching, and downright entertaining moments in National Park land management.
