Under the Lavender Sky: An Agritourism Evening

Join Sierra Shadows Lavender and Honey Farm on September 10, 2026 at the new field for an evening that blends Carson Valley history, new agricultural production, and the night sky. You’ll start with a visit to the historic barn and a guided walk through the newest lavender field, then as dusk settles in, the Fleischmann Planetarium team will lead a live stargazing program — sharing views of nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters, with keepsake photos you can take home from the night.

Arrive by 7:30pm. $35 per person
This event will take place at Sierra Shadows Farm, production crop at the Historic Faye Canyon Ranch — Foothill Road, across from the Faye-Luther Trailhead.

Bring a folding chair or blanket and a light jacket for the evening chill. Snacks welcome to share.
